Oh how I hate the thought of having a muffin top!

Two years ago I was down to about 160-165 pounds and feeling healthier. The last two years I have allowed the weight to plumet to over 180 pounds. Actually, the WLC scale said 191 last night; but give me a break: It is winter: winter clothing in two layers and night time, after dinner.
I saw the WLC in the Action Paper. It is February and I did jack s___ in January. What the heck! $39. I can afford that. Maybe a group other than Weight Watchers will actually challenge me. So I am off to Hudson.
I walked in to view a table set up with Herbalife products. Dejavu! Maher had gotten involved in this company, used the product and almost died! Why: one of the weight loss products contained cascara; which gave him diarrhea; not good for a person with Type I diabetes. Of course I was the one to write the letters to the corporation and DID get his investment money back.
The first words out of my mouth were: "If this is all about Herbalife (which conveniently was not mentioned in the add) I will just turn around now!" Jackie said: "We don't care which diet you use as long as it isn't Atkins. Atkins diet will produce ketoacidosis and we don't approve"
I still wanted to walk out; but because I really do want to make this change and make it NOW, I stayed.
"Metabolism" was the subject. It is so-o-o sad. I should be teaching master level classes on nutrition. There wasn't one grain of new information for me. I was quiet. Unusually quiet for me. I will stick with it. No products for me. I can do this. I can do it on my own. I have the gym to go to...after paying for almost two years (two and a half if I count the six months at Wayside, for $84 a month) I am now going to go 2-3 times a week, with a goal to do something every day. (At least walk).
After returning from 7 weeks travel across the USA, eating out every day, I saw pictures that made me look like a Sumo restler! Yuck!! I don't want to be skinny, like I was after the IleoJejunal bypass....I just want to be able to wear a 12-14 size instead of 16-18 and 1x to 2x.
If I can loose 40 pounds, I will consider some liposuction....Maybe I could even find a dancing mate at some point!!
Wish me luck.
